Yard Operative (Counterbalance Forklift) – Rochester

Location: Rochester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00pm – 1:00am
Pay: £15.00 per hour (standard hours) | £17.50 per hour overtime (after 40 hours per week)

Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join a busy team based in Rochester. This is a full-time role with an immediate start available and the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
\n
• Cutting metal tubes to specified sizes.
\n
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
\n
• General yard duties, including maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
\n
• Assisting with stock control and material organisation.
\n
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times.
\n

\n
• A valid External Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
\n
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar manual role is preferred.
\n
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks.
\n
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
\n
• Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player.
\n
• Willingness to work in an industrial outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
\n

• Successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test before starting work.
\n
• Ongoing random drug and alcohol testing may also form part of the company's health and safety policy.
\n

\n
• £15.00 per hour standard rate.
\n
• Overtime paid at £17.50 per hour after 40 hours worked per week.
\n
• Monday to Friday working pattern – no weekend shifts.
\n
• Weekly pay.
\n
• Immediate start available.
\n
