The Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students across a range of subjects, providing classroom support and helping to create a positive learning environment. You may also support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom.
\n
• Working with individuals and small groups of students.
\n
• Assisting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
\n
• Promoting positive behaviour and student engagement.
\n
• Helping students develop confidence, independence and academic progress.
\n
• Providing general classroom and administrative support.
\n

The Ideal Candidate

\n
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
\n
• A positive, patient and proactive approach.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
\n
• A genuine interest in education and supporting student development.
\n
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
\n
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
\n
