Class 1 Day Driver Location: WakefieldPay Rate: £16.50 per hourJob Type: Ongoing Holiday & Sickness CoverShift Pattern: Monday to Friday DaysAbout the Role Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Day Drivers for a leading transport and logistics company based in Wakefield.The role includes a mixture of nationwide full-load deliveries and local multi-drop work, completing a maximum of six deliveries per shift. You'll be driving modern Euro 6, DVS-compliant vehicles with curtain-side and tail-lift trailers.Drivers who demonstrate reliability and professionalism will become preferred drivers for future holiday and sickness cover.Key Responsibilities Complete nationwide full-load deliveriesCarry out local multi-drop deliveries (maximum 6 drops)Operate curtain-side and tail-lift trailers safelyComplete daily vehicle safety checksEnsure delivery paperwork is completed accuratelyProvide excellent customer serviceComply with Driver Hours and Working Time RegulationsRequirements Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) LicenceDriver CPC Qualification CardDigital Tachograph CardPrevious Class 1 driving experienceMaximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)Reliable, professional and safety-focused approachWhy Work With Recruit A Driver?
