Duty Manager Secure Childrens Residential ServicesLocation: Bishopbriggs, East DunbartonshireContract: Permanent (37.5 hours per week)Salary: £43,736 - £48,691 (depending on experience and qualifications)OverviewWe are recruiting for an experienced Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a secure residential care service for children and young people.This role carries full operational oversight while on shift, so experience in residential or secure care is essential. You will ensure a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment, supporting both young people and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide visible leadership and oversee daily service operationsTake full operational responsibility during shifts, including incident responseEnsure compliance with legislation, standards, and safeguarding requirementsSupervise and support staff, promoting reflective practice and developmentManage rotas and resources to maintain continuity of careMaintain accurate records and work collaboratively with partners and agenciesAbout YouMandatory managerial experience in residential or secure careProven leadership experience with operational responsibilityStrong understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguardingCalm, resilient, and confident in decision-makingExcellent communication and team leadership skillsRequirementsSVQ 3 Social Services - Children and Young People (or equivalent) is essential.Willingness to work towards further qualifications (SCQF Level 9 / SVQ4)Full UK driving licenceHow to Apply:If this role sounds like the perfect fit for you, please click "Apply".
