Job Description
Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM are currently looking to recruit an eager and motivated Assistant Document Controller to join our RIIOT2 team. Being part of this team, you assist in delivering large civil engineering projects which will provide critical infrastructure to enable future, renewable developments across Scotland. The projects are located in Dounreay, Orkney, Inveraray and Crossaig. You will be required to work out of the BAM office in Kilsyth with the opportunity for site visits.Making Possible As an Assistant Document Controller, you will be supporting the Document Controller in day-to-day duties that include, but not limited to:Maintain computer and paper-based document filing systems.Review and distribute documents in line with agreed departmental procedures.Maintain accurate computer and paper-based records, logging distributed documents.Process responses to documents issued.Chase responses to documents issued where required.Administer requests for information.Build relationships with Document Controllers from our JV Partner and Client to support collaborative working.Remain up to date with all company policies and procedures, industry legislation and guidance applicable to your subject field.Provide ad-hoc training to site team on the company CDEs (Comon Data Environments)Granting/controlling access to the CDEsAssisting on projects out with the RIIOT2 when requiredTraining will be provided on all the aboveWhat do you bring to the role? Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.Willingness to learn how to work within a CDE, i.e. FORMA, BIM360, Aconex, ViewPoint for Projects. Training will be provided.An awareness of ISO 19650 is desirable; training will be provided if required.Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when handling documents and data.Previous administrative experience within an office environment is desirable but not essential.Good written and verbal communication skills.Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.Eager to learn and build a career in document control.A team player whos happy to support others when required.This role is ideal for someone looking to start or develop a career in document control.
