This team plays a vital role in shaping how millions of customers research, book and manage their journeys, ensuring experiences are intuitive, accessible and commercially effective.What you'll do:Drive adherence to design processes and quality standards across multiple product teamsMentor more junior design colleaguesEnsure consistency across the wider customer experienceSupport delivery partners in adhering to processes, timelines and quality standardsDesign intuitive and effective product experiences informed by customer insight, data and business objectivesLeverage customer research and testing methodologies to refine and optimise experiences throughout the design processLead or participate in workshops to drive alignment, clarity and shared understanding amongst teams and stakeholdersMap customer journeys and flows, developing experiences from early concepts through to market-ready solutionsCommunicate design rationale and justify design decisions to teams and stakeholdersUse prototypes, journeys, flows and other artefacts to explore ideas, validate assumptions and communicate design intentCollaborate with Product Owners, developers and scrum team members throughout the product development lifecycleEnsure design solutions align with British Airways standards, accessibility requirements and platform design patternsSocialise work early and often to gather feedback and build alignmentDesign and maintain components, interactions, transitions and design patterns within the Design SystemWhat you'll bring to British Airways:Advanced skills in modern design and prototyping tools, including FigmaDeep understanding of customer needs, behaviours and motivationsExpertise in human-centred design and Design Thinking methodologiesStrong understanding of how research, testing and analytics support the design processAbility to communicate design concepts through sketches, storyboards and interactive prototypesExperience working with and evolving Design SystemsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple disciplinesCustomer-centred and evidence-driven mindsetStrong product thinking and commercial awarenessCollaborative and influential approachCurious, analytical and comfortable working in ambiguityStrategic thinker with strong attention to detailConfident communicator able to engage stakeholders at all levelsOutcome-focused approach balancing long-term vision with delivery needsCommitment to accessibility, inclusivity and design qualityProactive approach to identifying opportunities, risks and improvementsPassion for supporting the growth and development of othersYour experience:5+ years' experience in UX or Product Design delivering digital product experiencesPortfolio demonstrating elegant and intuitive digital product design solutionsExperience building multi-channel, device-agnostic digital productsExperience working in multidisciplinary teams alongside developers, product managers and stakeholdersFluent in Figma, Zeplin, Miro and other modern design toolsExperience working on consumer-facing, revenue-generating productsExperience mentoring colleagues or leading design activityExperience delivering mobile application features and product enhancementsWhat we offer:We believe that all the people who work with us should feel valued for the part they play.
