Electrical Shift Engineer Location: Blackfriars, LondonSalary: £53,000Shift Pattern: Days Only 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 offAbout the Role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join the engineering team at a prestigious commercial office building in Blackfriars.Working on a days-only shift pattern, you'll be responsible for maintaining a modern 56 floor commercial building, ensuring all electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.You'll work alongside a dedicated Mechanical Engineer on each shift, making this an ideal role for a technically strong Electrical Engineer who enjoys working within a close-knit team while taking ownership of the electrical infrastructure.Duties & Responsibilities Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all electrical systems.Diagnose and repair faults on lighting, power, emergency lighting, switchgear, and electrical distribution equipment.Carry out routine inspections of electrical plant and associated building services.Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the building, ensuring minimal disruption to occupants.Work collaboratively with the Mechanical Engineer to resolve technical issues and complete maintenance tasks.Liaise with specialist contractors when required and oversee works on-site.Complete maintenance documentation and ensure statutory compliance.Adhere to all health & safety policies and permit-to-work procedures.Candidate Requirements Qualified Electrician (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).Strong experience within commercial building maintenance.Excellent electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.Good understanding of building services and associated plant.Able to work confidently in a client-facing environment.A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a two-person engineering team.What's on Offer £53,000 basic salary.Days-only shift pattern providing an excellent work-life balance.Static role at a prestigious commercial building in Blackfriars.Opportunity to work within a professional and supportive engineering team.Ongoing training and long-term career development.TPBN1_UKTJ
