Supplier Quality Engineer North West | Hybrid Field-Based Role | £Competitive + PackageWe're recruiting for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a well-established international engineering and manufacturing business operating within highly regulated industrial sectors.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong supplier quality, auditing, and manufacturing experience who enjoys working closely with suppliers, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest quality standards across the supply chain.The role will involve regular UK travel and occasional European travel to supplier sites.The Role You'll be responsible for supporting and developing supplier performance across quality, compliance, and operational capability. Working closely with procurement, engineering, and production teams, you'll help ensure suppliers consistently meet technical, regulatory, and commercial expectations.Key responsibilities include:Conducting supplier audits, assessments, and qualification activitiesSupporting supplier onboarding and approval processesDriving corrective actions, root cause analysis, and supplier improvement plansReviewing technical and quality documentationSupporting new product/component validation processesMonitoring supplier KPIs, scorecards, and risk profilesPromoting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing best practiceEnsuring compliance with relevant quality and pressure equipment standardsWhat We're Looking For Proven experience within Supplier Quality Engineering in a manufacturing or engineered products environmentStrong knowledge of supplier auditing and quality systemsExperience with ISO 9001 and regulated manufacturing standardsUnderstanding of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processesExperience using structured quality tools such as 8D, PPAP, APQP, or FMEAAbility to work cross-functionally with suppliers and internal stakeholdersFull UK driving licenceComfortable with regular travel to supplier sitesDesirable Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certificationExperience within HVAC, pressure systems, fabrication, or heavy engineering environmentsKnowledge of PED and welding quality requirementsEngineering or manufacturing-related qualificationsWhat's on Offer Opportunity to join a globally recognised engineering manufacturerStrong long-term career development opportunitiesHybrid and autonomous working environmentExposure to complex engineering and manufacturing projectsCollaborative and supportive technical team cultureFor a confidential discussion or to apply, please get in touch directly.TPBN1_UKTJ
