Handy Person / Maintenance OperativeLocation: Poole, DorsetHours: 2-3 Days Per Week (9:00am - 4:00pm)Pay: Up to £15.00 per hour depending on experienceWe are currently recruiting for a reliable and practical Handyman / Maintenance Operative to support the day-to-day upkeep of a busy office facility in Poole.This is a part-time position working 2-3 days per week and would suit someone with previous maintenance, caretaking, facilities, property maintenance or handyman experience who enjoys a varied role and takes pride in maintaining a safe and professional working environment.Duties Will Include:Carrying out general repairs and maintenance around the office buildingBasic painting and decorating as requiredHanging shelves, notice boards and office fixturesMinor plumbing repairs such as replacing taps, washers and fixing leaksBasic carpentry tasks and repairsReplacing light fittings, bulbs and carrying out simple electrical maintenance (within competence)Moving office furniture and equipmentAssembling office furniture when requiredConducting routine building inspections and reporting any issuesEnsuring external areas are kept tidy and presentableLiaising with external contractors when necessarySupporting health and safety compliance throughout the premisesEssential Skills:Previous handyman, maintenance or facilities experienceGood all-round practical skills across a variety of tradesAbility to work independently and prioritise workloadsGood problem-solving abilitiesReliable, trustworthy and self-motivatedGood communication skillsDesirable:Experience within office, commercial or facilities environmentsBasic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and decoratingHealth & Safety awarenessBenefits:Flexible part-time working patternFriendly and professional working environmentVaried and hands-on roleFree onsite parkingTo apply for this position please submit an up-to-date CV or alternatively contact Alan for further information.TPBN1_UKTJ
