uPVC Foiling Operator - Nights

About the roleWe are currently recruiting a Foiling Operator to join our Manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and day-to-day running of foiling machines, supporting the smooth flow of materials through the foiling area while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.This is a hands-on operational role with no people or budget management responsibilities, ideal for someone with manufacturing or production experience who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Key responsibilitiesAs a Foiling Operator, your duties will include but are not limited to:Setting up and operating foiling machines and associated ancillary equipmentProducing foiled products in line with the production planRecording machine outputs using SIC and OEE documentation and proceduresCarrying out quality checks to ensure finished goods meet required standards and defects are minimisedAccurately recording quality performance and checksDisposing of rejects in accordance with company proceduresSupporting the movement of materials and finished goods to and from the foiling areaAssisting with empty stillages, mounting stillages onto wheels, and material flow through the foiling machinesSupporting in-feed and off-load areas as required to reduce machine downtimeMaintaining a safe, clean, and tidy working environmentCompleting daily safety checks on machinery and equipmentKeeping foiling machines in good working order, working with Maintenance where requiredSharing knowledge, supporting, and coaching team members on processes, set-ups, and operating proceduresCarrying out any other reasonable duties as required by the Unit or Area Manager, including occasional support to other areas of the businessWhat we're looking forEssential:GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C / 4 or above)Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering production environmentPrevious experience as a technical or machine operatorA strong team player with a results-driven mindsetDesirable:NVQ Level 2 in a technical disciplinePrevious foiling or similar machine operation experienceA proactive approach to work and continuous improvementWorking hours & flexibilityFlexibility is required, with occasional work outside normal working hours and at weekendsOccasional movement to other areas of the factory may be required to meet production demandsShifts:Nights - Monday to Thursday 3pm to 2am.Why Join Us?Competitive SalaryPension31 days holiday, increasing with service, plus have your birthday offPaid time off annually to volunteerComprehensive health & well-being benefits including cycle to work scheme, heavily discounted gym memberships and free access to mental health first aidersHeavily discounted group discount scheme on all productsGroup Perks and freebies on days out, cinema, theatre, eating in and out, mobiles phones, food shopping and most major high street retailersOpportunity to work with a forward-thinking and supportive team.Career development and continuous learning opportunities.Important Information About Right to WorkWe're delighted that you're considering joining our team.
