Based at our Paddington Head Office the role is to build on the existing capabilities to develop a best practice threat defence capability for URENCO. The role offers an opportunity for end-to-end ownership of a threat defence strategy and service. The role will focus on leading a team responsible for security operations, incident detection and response and threat intelligence which will be delivered through partnership with outsourced providers and IT. This role will have line management responsibilities for 3 of the team: a Threat Intelligence Lead, a TD Service Operations Lead and a Cyber Incident Response Lead.The role requires DV clearance and a minimum of 2 days per week in the Paddington Office. We believe in embracing the passion and potential of our people, and to achieve this we offer market leading traininWhat you'll do:Enhancing Threat Defence CapabilityAccountable for TD tooling roadmap and strategyWork closely with the CISO and the IS Delivery Lead to maintain an up to date strategy, budget and workstreams which delivers against the strategy.Incident Response CapabilityDirect line management for the Cyber Incident Response Lead, oversee the incident response function.Ensure incident identification, assessment, quantification, reporting, communication, mitigation and monitoring.Deliver improvements to the internal incident reporting process with IT and 3rd Parties, including External Incident Response ExpertiseSecurity Operations CentreManage the Threat Defence Operations Lead and oversee the Security Operations functionLead and manage the security operations centre service (outsourced).Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework, review policies and highlight the challenges in managing SLAs.Threat IntelligenceManage the Threat Intelligence Specialist and oversee the Threat Intelligence functionReview Threat Intelligence output and determine what should be shared and how with senior management to ensure key messages land effectivelyInformation ExchangeBuild relationships with other organisations across the civil nuclear sector and GovernmentWhat do you need to thrive in this role?Significant experience in information security, especially on a Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT), Cyber Emergency Response Team (CERT), Cyber Security Incident Response Centre (CSIRC) or a Security Operations Centre (SOC)Demonstrable experience of managing outsourced security services and driving continuous improvementRelevant experience of leading a threat defence function/departmentA relevant qualificationExperience in security device management and SIEMProven experience of Incident Management and ResponseIn depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management etc.Experience in threat managementWhat can you expect from us?More than just a job, we offer a future.
