They are seeking to appoint a highly experienced hands-on Group Operations Manager to provide senior operational leadership across producing and non-producing assets .THE ROLEThis is a hands-on, site-based operational leadership role for a technically credible Operations Manager who can combine strong operational oversight with effective people leadership and a disciplined approach to continuous improvement.Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high operating standards, strengthening team capability, supporting incident response, and driving performance improvement across the operational function. This person must have a technical hands-on background on operational sites and proven experience in small-team environments. Due to the urgency of this role, only those who are immediately available and those with a R ESPONSIBILITIESLead and support operational teams, setting priorities and maintaining high standards of safety, performance and accountability.Ensure personnel are trained, competent and supported through regular coaching, performance reviews and development.Maintain safe and compliant operations through strong control of procedures, permits, risk assessments, maintenance standards and operational assurance activities.Oversee operational reporting, incident management and investigations, ensuring timely follow-up and corrective action.Drive continuous improvement across operations, including reliability, cost efficiency, maintenance effectiveness and HSE performance.Support the implementation of operational systems, processes and organisational improvements.Build effective working relationships across operations, maintenance, leadership and relevant external stakeholders.Take part in an out-of-hours incident response rota when requiredREQUIREMENTS :Essential Skills & Qualifications:Degree-qualified in an engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.Demonstrable experience in a comparable operations leadership role within oil and gas, gas processing, petrochemicals or another process-led industrial environment.Proven track record of leading safe operations and managing small operational teams within a regulated setting.Experience driving operational performance, continuous improvement and high standards of compliance.Strong understanding of operational risk, process safety and maintenance or integrity management principles.Familiarity with business systems and maintenance management platforms.Confident leader with strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making capability.Must be willing and able to be on-call 1 week in every 4 weeks in a 24/7 incident management capacityMUST have a MUST have the full RTW in the UK in permanent full time roles and must not need sponsorship now or in the future.DesirableChartered status or membership of a recognised engineering institution.Familiarity with industrial control systems and structured continuous improvement initiatives.Due to current workload, Simpson Booth regrets to inform that if you have not heard from us within 1 week of your application, you need consider yourself unsuccessful at this time.
