You'll empower and support your teams to perform well, learn and grow in line with company values, and leverage successful delivery and senior client relationships to win new business with existing customers taking on wider senior management responsibilities as required.DeliverySet the vision for the project and be responsible for delivering agreed outcomes for the clientEstablish critical success factors beyond the traditional measures of on time, on budget and to scope, ensuring each workstream has a plan to achieve themBe accountable for achieving or exceeding profitability targets, plus accurate, timely forecasting and reporting (revenue, staffing, work in progress, debt, etc.)Develop and deliver a strategy for adding value to the client, proactively managing expectations and addressing issues promptlyMotivate and empower teams to create a positive, creative culture where people can perform, learn and growEnsure team members have clear goals, regular feedback and timely, constructive appraisalsTake accountability for staffing and onboarding new team membersAct as the escalation point for issues relating to an individual, team or projectBuild and maintain constructive, collaborative relationships with the client and other suppliers/stakeholdersGovernanceEnsure appropriate project governance and technical quality standards are developed and followed throughout the project lifecycleWork with the assurance function to support health checks, risk assessments and follow-up activityComply, and ensure team members comply, with confidentiality, non-disclosure and information security policies at all timesBusiness Development & Account ManagementDrive future growth by working with Sales & Account Management to identify profitable opportunities, scope innovative solutions and influence the sales/procurement cyclePromote successes across the business and to the market, through case studies, award submissions, blogs, etc.Take responsibility for contracts and commercial terms on the projectProfessional Development and GrowthLead continuous improvement initiatives within the Management and Leadership capabilityStay current on thinking from Technology, Experience Design and Consulting capabilitiesEncourage innovation in technology and process, both within and outside the projectProactively assist with recruitment to support stable organisational growthMinimum (essential) requirements5 years managing successful, technology-driven projects using agile methodology, delivering digital transformation programmes (mobile/web application)5+ years' experience within a client-facing consultancyExperience in project governance, owning budgets of £1M+ (forecasting, stakeholder reporting)Demonstrable ability to create future business opportunities (involved in BD)Experience managing at least one industry vertical (Tech, Health or Government)Experience taking responsibility for contract and commercial terms on projectsStrong proficiency making critical decisions under pressure while balancing client demandsDesirableExperience delivering digital transformation projectsExperience managing large-scale agile projects with distributed teams in a multi-supplier environmentExperience of user research, analytics and design disciplines, and their contribution to digital service deliveryEvidence of securing significant follow-on business with an existing clientEvidence of innovating or leading initiatives to improve management and leadership practicesEvidence of thought leadership in the public domainA current, recognised Project or Programme Management certificationSkillsProven ability to manage, motivate and empower teams, leading by exampleStrong commercial awareness and understanding of project dynamics, particularly multi-supplier environmentsAffable, credible communicator with clients and colleagues, including formal presentationsExcellent interpersonal skills and strong negotiating prowessGreat team player, able to deliver results in less-than-perfect circumstancesA natural willingness to share information freelyA mature, firm but non-confrontational styleHighly flexible, including willingness to work away from home baseA positive attitude to overcoming commercial, technical and staffing challengesVision and drive to experiment and deliver 'firsts'Benefits10% annual bonusBupa private family medical cover from day 1Company share plan35 days' holiday (includes public holidays, plus buy/sell up to 10 days)Excellent training & development, with salary/position reviews every 6 months5% matched pension + Group Personal Pension PlanRemote-first working model (flexible, with travel required up to 2 days per week if needed)TPBN1_UKTJ
