The people we support have a range of needs including learning disabilities, Down syndrome, dementia, limited verbal communication, and may at times display behaviours of distress.No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role in helping the people we support enjoy the things that matter most to them, including:Trips to the local pubDays out to the beachAttending learning disability discos and social eventsRelaxing at homeGoing on holidaysListening to musicAccessing their local communities and pursuing personal interestsYou will provide person-centred support, promote independence, and help create meaningful opportunities and experiences every day.About You We're looking for someone who is:Compassionate, patient, and reliableConfident supporting people with a range of support needsFlexible and able to work a variety of shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidaysComfortable providing personal careAble to assist with mobility needs, including pushing wheelchairsA positive team player with a willingness to learn and developPrevious experience in support work is beneficial, but not essential, as full training will be provided.Additional Information Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
