Site Manager - GlasgowSite Manager - Water & Wastewater InfrastructureWe are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across a major capital investment programme.This role involves leading site teams to deliver civil engineering and utility projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Youll work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, environmental compliance, and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.- Lead site teams and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.- Promote a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) culture through effective supervision, audits, and team engagement.- Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to maximise productivity.- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to minimise delays.- Manage commercial aspects on site, including cost awareness, Early Warning notifications, and efficient resource utilisation.- Coordinate access requirements, highway permits, and stakeholder engagement to minimise disruption to local communities.- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and quality documentation.- Work collaboratively with Project Managers and wider project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.Candidate RequirementsEssential- Previous experience as a Site Manager within water, wastewater, utilities, or civil engineering projects.- Strong leadership and people management skills.- Good understanding of construction programmes, subcontractor management, and site operations.- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.- Civil Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent experience).- Full UK Driving Licence.- Desirable- Experience delivering water or wastewater capital projects.- SMSTS certification.- CSCS Manager Card.- First Aid at Work qualification.Personal Attributes- Strong leadership and communication skills.- Organised with excellent planning and problem-solving abilities.- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to project delivery.- Able to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and local stakeholders.- Committed to delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.For more information on this role please contact Jack Burton on 07345471208 or via email onTPBN1_UKTJ
