Audit Senior
Job Description
Our client, a forward thinking, established firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their team.
\nThis is a varied and rewarding opportunity, ideally suited to someone with a strong track record in general practice with an interest in audit. The role will involve carrying out audit assignments across a mixed portfolio of clients, reporting to the Audit Manager and Director.
\nYou will be responsible for undertaking audit fieldwork both from the office and on-site at client premises, working independently on assigned areas and progressing audits efficiently. You will also assist with the development of junior staff.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Dealing with a varied portfolio of clients under the Director/Manager \n
- Plan and perform operational and financial audits \n
- Carry out audit fieldwork across a portfolio of clients, both on-site and off-site \n
- Work independently on assigned audit sections, ensuring timely and accurate completion \n
- Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation in line with firm methodology \n
- Review the work of junior members of the team \n
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships \n
- Assist with preparation of statutory accounts where required, as well as corporation and personal tax matters, linked to audit assignments. \n
- Identify and escalate audit issues, risks, and anomalies to the Audit Manager \n
- Ensure all work is fully compliant with the firm’s audit procedures \n
You will ideally hold a professional qualification such as AAT/ACCA/ACA, or equivalent and have a solid audit background in practice of at least 2-3 years.
\nA good working knowledge of Xero and Digita would also be an advantage but not essential.
