Engineering ManagerSkelmersdale £55,000 - £60,000 + BenefitsA market-leading engineering and manufacturing business operating within the Offshore & Renewables sector is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their leadership team in Skelmersdale.Reporting into senior management, the successful Engineering Manager will take ownership of the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance functions, ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of manufacturing processes, equipment and facilities. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and asset reliability across the business whilst developing and leading high-performing engineering teams.Engineering Manager Requirements:Previous experience in an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or similar engineering leadership roleStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment and maintenance systemsProven experience leading and developing engineering and maintenance teamsExperience implementing preventative and predictive maintenance strategiesStrong project management and problem-solving skillsExperience driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficienciesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsUnderstanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements within a manufacturing environmentEngineering qualification desirableLean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience advantageousEngineering Manager Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance functions across the siteDevelop and implement engineering, maintenance and asset management strategiesDrive improvements in equipment reliability, productivity, quality and cost performanceEnsure effective preventative and predictive maintenance programmes are maintained and continuously improvedManage engineering resources, budgets and priorities to support business objectivesLead engineering projects focused on process optimisation, automation, waste reduction and capacity improvementsEnsure all plant, machinery and facilities remain compliant with legislative and company requirementsSupport the introduction of new equipment, products and manufacturing processesLead root cause investigations into equipment failures, quality issues and operational non-conformancesDevelop, coach and mentor engineering and maintenance personnelWork closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and HSEQ teams to achieve business objectivesPromote a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement throughout the engineering functionEngineering Manager Benefits:Salary £55,000 - £60,000 per annumBonus schemeCompany pension schemeLife assuranceGenerous holiday allowanceEmployee assistance programmeCareer development opportunities within a growing organisationIf you have the required skills for this Engineering Manager position or would like to learn more, please get in touch ASAP with an up-to-date copy of your CV.
