Together, were building a better future.If youre ready to grow your legal experience in a supportive, purpose-driven environment, wed love to welcome you on our journey.About the RoleAs Paralegal, you will work closely with our in-house Legal team to support the management of civil litigation and housing-related legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in civil litigation or housing law to gain valuable experience in a busy, fast-paced legal function.Regular access to a vehicle is required, as you may need to attend court when necessary. Business mileage is reimbursed at 55p per mile, excluding home-to-work travel in line with policy.What youll be doing (under the supervision of qualified lawyers)Managing your own caseload of civil litigation matters, including access injunctions, disrepair and housing management casesDrafting legal documents such as claim forms, pleadings, witness statements and court bundlesConducting legal research, liaising with courts and preparing disclosure materialsProviding administrative support, including file maintenance, invoicing and correspondenceSupporting internal stakeholders with legal queries and contributing to training and knowledge sharingAssisting with financial record-keeping and legal spend trackingWhat Were Looking ForMust haves:A degree in Law or equivalent, with LPC, BPC or CILEX preferredExperience managing a caseload in a legal environment, ideally within social housing, private practice or local authorityStrong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and legal processesExcellent drafting, research and communication skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organisational skillsAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesProficiency in legal databases and Microsoft OfficeBenefitsAt SettleParadigm, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
