Interim Finance Director Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working) Contract: 6-12 Months Day Rate: Competitive - Please call to discussWe are supporting a well-established and growing construction business in the appointment of an Interim Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership during a significant period of growth and transformation.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a pivotal leadership role with full responsibility for the finance function. You will partner closely with the executive team to drive commercial performance, provide strategic insight, and ensure robust financial governance across the business.The RoleProvide strategic financial leadership to the business and executive teamLead and develop the finance function, ensuring strong financial control and governanceOversee month-end reporting, financial reporting and balance sheet integrityLead budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and long-term financial planningDeliver commercial insight and challenge to support business growth and profitabilityPartner with operational teams to improve financial performance and decision-makingOversee investment appraisals, business cases and capital expenditureManage joint venture reporting and key stakeholder relationshipsLead year-end audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirementsDrive continuous improvement across finance systems, controls and reportingMentor and develop the wider finance team while promoting a high-performance cultureAbout YouQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Previous experience operating as an Interim Finance Director , Finance Director, or a senior Head of Finance within construction, housebuilding, engineering, or another project-based environmentStrong technical accounting and financial control expertiseExcellent commercial acumen with proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and cashflow managementExperience managing joint ventures and complex reporting structuresAble to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, including board-level executivesComfortable leading through change and delivering results in a fast-paced environmentAvailable to start at short notice or immediately preferredIf this opportunity could be of interest, please get in touch for a confidential discussion regarding the role and day rate.TPBN1_UKTJ
