Finance Manager | Barnsley, South YorkshirePermanent | Full Time | 37.5 Hours per Week£38,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experienceMonday to Friday, between 8:am and 6pmAre you an experienced Finance Manager looking for an opportunity where your work will make a real difference?Barnsley Healthcare Federation is looking for a proactive and commercially minded Finance Manager to lead its finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing healthcare organisation where you'll play a key role in supporting strategic decision making, ensuring robust financial governance, and helping deliver high quality healthcare services across the local community.The RoleAs Finance Manager, you'll lead the Finance Team and take ownership of the organisation's financial management, ensuring accurate reporting, effective controls and insightful financial analysis.Key responsibilities include:Producing monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance dashboardsLeading the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processMonitoring income, expenditure, cash flow and financial performanceProviding meaningful financial analysis to support strategic business decisionsDeveloping financial models, forecasts and business casesMaintaining strong financial controls, governance and complianceSupporting year-end accounts, external audit and statutory reportingWorking closely with budget holders and senior leaders to improve financial performanceLeading, developing and supporting the Finance TeamIdentifying opportunities to improve reporting through automation, advanced Excel and AI-enabled tools.About YouWe're looking for an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial thinking.You'll have:Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA status, or equivalent experiencePrevious experience in a Finance Manager or senior management accounting roleStrong experience of budgeting, forecasting and management reportingExcellent knowledge of financial governance, controls and statutory reportingAdvanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, pivot tables and automationPrevious experience leading or managing a finance teamExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleaguesStrong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skillsA proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and adding value.Experience within healthcare, charity or another regulated sector would be advantageous but isn't essential.What's on Offer?Salary of £38,000 - £40,000, depending on experiencePermanent, full-time position37.5 hours per weekMonday to Friday workingOpportunity to influence strategic decision makingSupportive leadership teamA varied and rewarding role where you can make a genuine impact across the organisationIf you're looking for a Finance Manager position where your expertise will help shape the future of an organisation delivering vital healthcare services, we'd love to hear from you.Please apply with an up-to-date CV.If shortlisted, our client will contact you to discuss the role and your experience further.Key Appointments UK Ltd will assess your suitability for the role based on the information contained in your CV and application.
