The role is predominantly hands-on and offers scope to become a go-to engineer in your specialist area while broadening your experience across the wider platform stack.Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS and TerraformSupport containerised services using Docker and KubernetesDevelop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automationTroubleshoot Linux-based production environments and improve reliabilityOwn defined areas of delivery and contribute to technical decisionsShare knowledge, onboard colleagues and support less experienced engineersPLATFORM ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLSCommercial Platform Engineering, DevOps or Cloud Engineering experienceHands-on AWS experience in a production environmentInfrastructure as Code experience using TerraformStrong Linux knowledge, including troubleshooting and scriptingExperience with Git and modern software delivery practicesExposure to containers, CI/CD and automation toolingClear communication and a willingness to support and share knowledge with othersCandidates must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance.
