You'll play a key role in maintaining highly specialised, bespoke manufacturing equipment found at only a handful of sites worldwide.If you're looking for long-term career progression, excellent earning potential, and industry-leading training, we'd love to hear from you.What's on Offer? £52,000 basic salaryOn-target earnings of £60,000–£65,000Quarterly company bonusPremium overtime rates (up to double time)Extensive specialist training and OEM-certified coursesGenuine career progression opportunitiesWork on unique, world-class manufacturing equipmentBe part of a successful, financially secure global organisationThe Company Our client is one of the UK's leading manufacturers, supplying high-quality bespoke products to sectors including aerospace, defence, infrastructure, and public services.With multiple manufacturing sites across the UK and continued investment in technology and people, they offer long-term career security and excellent opportunities for development.The Role As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer , you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of critical production machinery within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you'll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance while driving continuous improvement across the site.Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)Responding to mechanical breakdowns and reactive maintenanceDiagnosing and repairing faults to minimise downtimeCompleting shift handovers and maintenance reportsIdentifying and implementing continuous improvement initiativesMaintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeepingYou'll be working on a wide range of large capital equipment including:ConveyorsOverhead cranesHydraulic and mechanical pressesHeat treatment equipmentVacuum systemsHeavy industrial production machineryFull training will be provided on the site's bespoke machinery through structured development plans and manufacturer (OEM) training.About You To be successful, you'll ideally have:Experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Fitter or Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong mechanical biasExperience within manufacturing, heavy industry, steel, foundry, FMCG, recycling, aggregates, automotive or similar industrial environmentsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsA proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvementA commitment to health and safetyA recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent) is desirableApply Today If you're looking to join a company that genuinely invests in its engineers, offers excellent earning potential, and provides specialist training on world-class equipment, apply today to find out more.ATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
