Software Business Analyst

Location: Horsham Reports to: Finance DirectorAbout the Role Were looking for a pragmatic Software Business Analyst to support multiple software and systems projects across a growing SME. Youll sit between business operations and technical delivery turning real business needs into clear, workable solutions without over engineering.Key Responsibilities Gather, document, and validate business requirementsTranslate needs into user stories, functional specs, and acceptance criteriaFacilitate workshops with internal SMEs and manage expectations across teamsIdentify process improvements and automation opportunitiesSupport backlog creation, prioritisation, and UATAdvise on system architecture, integrations, and data flowsWork with external dev teams to ensure delivery aligns with requirementsProduce clear documentation: process flows, diagrams, decision logsTechnical Skills Strong understanding of software delivery (Agile or hybrid)Office 365 user administrationAzure Entra / Active Directory familiaritySQL Server basics (queries, data management)Understanding of APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)What You Bring Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Solutions AnalystAbility to work across multiple projects in a fast moving SMEExcellent communication and stakeholder managementComfortable advising non technical SMEs and simplifying complexityPragmatic, organised, and confident challenging assumptions constructivelyNice to Have SME or scale up experienceKnowledge of information security and data protectionExperience with Jira or Azure DevOpsUnderstanding of AI capabilities and how they translate into business featuresWhat We Offer High autonomy and influenceOpportunity to shape systems and processesExposure to a wide range of technologiesSupportive, collaborative environmentTPBN1_UKTJ
