Quantity Surveyor - £60k/£65k + car allowance and package.

\nThey are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Southampton-based team, supporting a live social housing maintenance framework delivering planned maintenance and void refurbishment works.
\nThis is a commercially focused role operating within a Schedule of Rates (SOR) environment, supporting the effective commercial management of planned works and void programmes. The role will involve surveying, scoping, measuring, valuing and commercially managing works across a live framework contract, with a strong focus on Schedule of Rates pricing and operational support.
\nThis role supports a long-term strategic partnership with a key social housing client, offering stability, continuity of work and the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and success of a live operational framework.
\nThe role is primarily office-based in Southampton, with the opportunity for some hybrid working.
\nThe role would suit an experienced maintenance or social housing Quantity Surveyor with strong knowledge of measured term contracts, SOR-based commercial management and planned maintenance environments.
\nAs an experienced Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
\nCarrying out site surveys and assessing planned maintenance and void refurbishment works
\nPreparing scopes of works, specifications and cost estimates
\nMeasuring, pricing and valuing works using NHF / SM7 Schedule of Rates frameworks
\nReviewing variations, identifying commercial risks and supporting cost control across the contract
\nProducing accurate valuations and commercially robust pricing submissions within agreed deadlines
\nReviewing drawings, client requirements and subcontractor quotations
\nSupporting Operational and Commercial teams during mobilisation and live contract delivery
\nLiaising with client representatives, contract managers and operational teams to support effective project delivery
\nMaintaining accurate commercial records, pricing documentation and reporting information
\nEnsuring compliance with contractual, regulatory and health & safety requirements
\nKey Requirements
\nProven experience within Quantity Surveying, commercial or estimating roles across social housing, planned maintenance, voids or property services environments
\nStrong knowledge of NHF / SM7 Schedule of Rates pricing frameworks
\nExperience within measured term contracts and SOR-based commercial management environments
\nStrong commercial awareness and attention to detail
\nAbility to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines within a live operational environment
\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial / estimating systems
\nDesirable
\nConstruction-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
\nKnowledge of social housing regulations and compliance standards
\nExperience across planned works, voids or maintenance frameworks
\nExperience working within local authority or social housing contracts
