Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Crewe area. This is a full-time, long-term temporary position working within the Early Years setting, supporting young children at a crucial stage of their development.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality EYFS learning activities
  • \n
  • Assist with the day-to-day care and development of children in the nursery
  • \n
  • Encourage learning through play and structured activities
  • \n
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
  • \n
  • Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
  • \n
  • Observe and record children’s progress where required
  • \n
  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / EYFS (essential)
  • \n
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting
  • \n
  • A warm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • \n
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • \n
  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • \n
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • \n
