About the Role\n

An established and growing independent accountancy and business advisory firm is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Audit Advisor to join its expanding Audit team.

Working with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors, you'll take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion while mentoring junior team members and building strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Senior Audit Advisor, you will:

  • Lead smaller audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • \n
  • Take responsibility for individual audit sections on larger, more complex engagements.
  • \n
  • Prepare audit planning documentation, analytical reviews and going concern assessments.
  • \n
  • Complete complex audit areas including stock, deferred tax and related party transactions.
  • \n
  • Prepare more complex corporation tax computations where required.
  • \n
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the audit process.
  • \n
  • Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
  • \n
  • Delegate work effectively and support the development of less experienced colleagues.
  • \n
  • Ensure assignments are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
  • \n
The Person\n

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice in an audit-focused role.
  • \n
  • Strong technical audit knowledge and an understanding of current accounting standards.
  • \n
  • Experience managing audit assignments from planning to completion.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • \n
  • High attention to detail and a professional, commercial approach.
  • \n
  • The ability to mentor and support junior members of the team.
  • \n
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to continually improve processes and client service.
