QA Tester
Job Description
Our client is looking for a QA Tester who will be responsible for validating new features, enhancements, integrations, and bug fixes within our EVOX platform and associated applications. Working closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and end users, you will ensure that software releases meet business requirements and maintain the highest quality standards.
\nThis role requires strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to testing, and experience working within Agile software development environments using Azure DevOps.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nFunctional Testing
\nCreate, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and test cases.
\nPerform manual testing of web applications developed in C# and .NET Core.
\nValidate functionality against business and technical requirements.
\nIdentify, document, and track software defects.
\nAzure DevOps & Agile Delivery
\nWork within Azure DevOps to manage test activities and track defects.
\nCreate and maintain test cases linked to User Stories, Features, and Epics.
\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
\nCollaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve defects efficiently.
\nQuality Assurance
\nVerify bug fixes and conduct regression testing prior to release.
\nEnsure software releases satisfy acceptance criteria and quality standards.
\nSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
\nAssist in creating and maintaining QA processes and standards.
\nDocumentation & Communication
\nProduce clear and concise test evidence and defect reports.
\nProvide regular feedback on software quality and release readiness.
\nContribute to release notes and quality reporting.
\nContinuous Improvement
\nIdentify opportunities to improve testing processes and coverage.
\nSupport the introduction of test automation where appropriate.
\nContribute ideas to improve software usability, reliability, and user experience.
\nRequired Skills & Experience
\nEssential
\nPrevious experience in a Software QA Tester, Software Tester, or Quality Assurance role.
\nExperience testing web-based business applications.
\nExperience using Azure DevOps for managing defects, work items, and test activities.
\nUnderstanding of Agile software development methodologies.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\nExcellent attention to detail.
\nAbility to create structured test plans and test cases.
\nExperience conducting:
\nFunctional Testing
\nRegression Testing
\nSystem Testing
\nUser Acceptance Testing Support
\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.
\nTechnical Knowledge
\nUnderstanding of C# and .NET Core application architecture.
\nKnowledge of web technologies including:
\nHTML
\nCSS
\nJavaScript
\nUnderstanding of REST APIs and API testing.
\nFamiliarity with SQL databases and basic query writing.
\nExperience testing role-based access control and authentication processes.
\nDesirable Skills
\nExperience with automated testing tools.
\nKnowledge of Selenium, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks.
\nExperience testing Azure-hosted applications.
\nUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
\nExperience testing integrations with third-party systems.
\nKnowledge of security and performance testing principles.
