They have built a solid reputation for delivering reliable and innovative engineering solutions that enable successful development across a diverse portfolio of projects nationwide.Position DutiesLead and manage transport planning projects, ensuring delivery to agreed budgets and timelinesPrepare, review, and approve technical reports such as Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Technical NotesOversee and support the production of technical drawings and transport-related designsApply and review transport modelling techniques to assess trip generation and distributionManage and mentor team members, including training, delegation, and performance appraisalsAct as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationshipsProject manage schemes, including resource planning and coordinationPrepare and review appeal documentation, including Statements of Case and Proofs of EvidenceAct as an expert witness at appeal hearings and public inquiries where requiredAttend and lead meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teamsPrepare, review, and issue fee proposals and tender submissionsIdentify and pursue business development opportunities, including networking and winning new workSupport and contribute to marketing initiatives and company promotionPosition RequirementsDegree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant fieldMembership of a relevant professional organisationMinimum of 7 years' experience in transport planningExtensive practical and theoretical knowledge of transport planning principlesExperience managing, training, and mentoring staffProven experience in project management, including budget and programme controlExperience preparing and reviewing key documents (e.g. Transport Assessments, Statements, Travel Plans, Technical Notes)Experience with appeal documentation (Statements of Case, Common Ground, Proof of Evidence)Experience acting as an expert witness at hearings or public inquiriesExperience in business development, including winning work and networkingPosition Remuneration5-hour workdays with flexible working hours, with a core hour requirement allowing for lifestyle and work life balance24 days annual leave, increasing with length of service plus 8 bank holidaysDay off on your birthday if it falls on a working dayOne community or charity day a year to allow you to support the person projects you loveSalary sacrifice scheme with the opportunity to purchase or sell annual leave days.Christmas shut downQuarterly and yearly bonus schemes, offering the potential to earn morePrivate healthcare upon completion of probation periodBike to work schemeStreamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
