HGV Class 1 Driver

Staffline is currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers for our prestigious client based in Burton-on-Trent.Assessments taking place: Week commencing 3rd AugustThis role offers ongoing work with a well-established logistics provider and excellent earning potential.PAYE rates are as below:Days - £18.69 per hourNight Premium (21:00 - 04:00) - £2.75 per hour additionalWeekend Rate - Flat Rate45-minute break deduction applies28 days holiday entitlementYour Time at WorkThe role mainly consists of Class 1 store delivery operations:- Delivering stock to stores using Double Decker trailers- Completing 2-3 delivery points per shift- Unloading your own trailer using tail lift equipment- Handling cages and store deliveries- Covering cages during adverse weather conditions to protect stock- Completing vehicle checks and delivery documentation- Adhering to all road safety and compliance regulations- Average shift lengths are 10-12 hours per day.Please note this role involves a significant amount of manual handling and is not purely driving work.Our Perfect Worker- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence- Minimum 3 months Class 1 driving experience- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card- Comfortable with manual handling and unloading duties- Positive attitude and strong work ethic- Good understanding of driver compliance and road safety regulations- Reliable and professional approach to customer deliveriesKey Information and Benefits- Full-time and part-time work available- New contract launch with immediate opportunities- Ongoing work with a leading logistics provider- Average 10-12 hour shifts- Weekly pay- 28 days holiday- On-site support from the Staffline team- Immediate assessment availability- Additional ad hoc shifts availableJob Ref - D1GXHBFollow us on Facebook and click Like!Search: Staffline DrivingAbout StafflineStaffline is the UK's largest recruitment solutions partner, enabling over 35,000 people into good work every week.
