Description We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused HGV Driver to support the efficient movement and delivery of raw materials and products. Reporting directly to the HGV Driver Supervisor, this role is essential to ensuring timely, compliant and reliable transport operations.Key Responsibilities:Drive vehicles safely and in full compliance with all legal requirementsOperate within tachograph law, driver hours and Working Time Directive regulationsEnsure loads are safely secured to prevent damage or injuryComplete timely collections and deliveries as scheduledCarry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any non-conformancesMaintain the vehicle to a high standard and avoid unnecessary damageKeep the cab and vehicle exterior clean and well-presentedAccurately complete all delivery/collection paperwork and maintain records of mileage, fuel and costsMonitor traffic updates and adjust routes when requiredReport accidents promptly and follow company proceduresAttend all essential training for the roleReport mechanical faults immediately to the Transport teamAdhere to company policies, Health & Safety standards and best-practice guidelinesEnsure documentation is completed and submitted on timeFollow manual handling guidelinesAttend meetings as requiredSupport the HGV Driver Supervisor with operational needsKey Competencies:Strong ability to follow instructionExcellent timekeeping and attendanceFlexible, adaptable and proactive approachPractical, enthusiastic and committed to safe workingStrong driving and navigation skillsGood communication and interpersonal abilitiesCommitment to safety and environmental responsibilityWork Conditions:This role requires flexibility, as shifts, weekend working, overtime and UK-wide travel may be required.Qualifications & Experience:Must be 18+Valid, clean HGV licenceMinimum 2 years experience as an HGV DriverFamiliarity with vehicle equipment such as pallet trucksStrong geographical knowledgeUnderstanding of HGV maintenance and safety regulationsIf youre a dependable, safety-driven driver with a passion for high-quality delivery and transport standards, wed love to hear from you.
