With significant investment secured and major operational milestones ahead, they're building the foundations needed to scale successfully over the coming years.This Head of Finance role offers the opportunity to build and shape a finance function from the ground up. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll take ownership of financial control, systems, cost accounting and operational finance while creating the processes and structure needed to support future growth.Manufacturing and cost accounting experience are essential for this role. You'll play a key role in supporting operational decision-making, improving financial visibility and ensuring the business is ready to scale.How you'll make an impactLead the development of a scalable finance function and control environmentOwn the month-end close process and ensure accurate financial reportingDeliver management accounts that support commercial decision-makingTake ownership of cost accounting, inventory reporting and Bill of Materials (BOM) costingPartner with operational teams to challenge costs and identify efficiency opportunitiesLead ERP implementation and drive process improvements across finance operationsStrengthen financial controls, governance and compliance frameworksDevelop procurement processes and supplier documentation standardsSupport statutory reporting, audit readiness and external stakeholder requirementsBuild and develop a finance team as the business continues to growWhy you're a great fitYou'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong financial control experience and a hands-on approach to building processes and improving performance.Most importantly, you'll have worked within a manufacturing environment and bring strong cost accounting experience, including Bill of Materials (BOM) costing and inventory reporting.You'll also bring:Experience producing management accounts and leading month-end close activitiesStrong understanding of financial controls, governance and financial reportingExperience working with ERP systems and improving finance processesAbility to challenge costs and partner effectively with operational teamsConfidence working closely with senior stakeholders and business leadersA practical, hands-on approach to solving problems and delivering resultsExperience supporting or leading ERP implementations would be beneficialPrevious experience developing finance teams would be advantageousComfortable operating in a growing and evolving business environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across the businessWhat you'll get in returnAs Head of Finance, you'll join a business with ambitious growth plans and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
