CNC Setter / Operator

Seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator (Turning) to work at a modern manufacturing company in South Nottingham. You will be responsible for operating and setting CNC Turning machines using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls.This is a great company and opportunity to progress your career within the high tech materials sector.Benefits:£37k to £43k (dependent on skills)Plus Shift Premium - 10% on Afternoon shift hoursCompany Bonus Scheme (up to 5% of annual salary)25 Days Holidays plus bank holidaysModern, clean facilityAccess to onsite gym and Subsidised canteenShifts:Rotating Mornings and AfternoonsWeek 1: Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm, and Fri 6am to 1pmWeek 2: Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm and Friday 1pm to 8pmKey responsibilities of CNC Setter / Operator:Set and operate CNC Turning MachinesAdjust machine controls (Fanuc and Mazatrol) and tool settings to keep part dimensions within specified tolerancesWork from CAD designs and specifications to complete various machining operations using information such as dimensions, tolerances, quantities, and any special instructionsResponsible for own quality using CMM and shadowgraph machinesAlter offsets according to SPC resultsParticipate in Lean / Six Sigma activities and other process improvement activitiesCNC Setter / Operator Knowledge and Skills Required:Good knowledge of CNC Turning machines and ability to set up tooling and programmesAbility to use measuring equipment and interpret drawingsAbility to use simple gauges or instrumentsWorking knowledge of maths in a manufacturing environmentAbility to work well in a team environmentExperience of working with Fanuc and Mazatrol controlled CNC machinery (desirable)If you have the required skills and qualifications for the CNC Setter / Operator role and would relish an exciting challenge, please apply or contact Stuart Cooper to discuss in further detail.Wagstaff Recruitment – building trusted relationships to create great opportunitiesTPBN1_UKTJ
