This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal finance professional who is looking to join a supportive business and take ownership of the day-to-day legal cashiering function.Reporting into the Directors, you will be responsible for managing client and office accounts, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role will suit someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in delivering a high standard of financial control.Legal Cashier Responsibilities Managing the day-to-day legal cashiering functionProcessing client and office account transactions using the Proclaim Accounts systemMaintaining accurate accounting records and supporting financial documentationCarrying out daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliationsReconciling client and office accounts in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts RulesProcessing invoices, payments, receipts, transfers and billing transactionsProducing financial reports for senior managementLiaising with external accountants regarding VAT submissions and financial reportingSupporting the year-end accounting process by providing financial information and reconciliationsAssisting with credit control and general finance administrationResponding to finance queries from internal stakeholders and external suppliersEnsuring compliance with all relevant financial controls and regulatory requirementsLegal Cashier Experience Required To be successful in your application, you must have the following:Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a solicitors' practiceProven experience using the Proclaim Accounts systemExcellent knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts RulesExperience managing both client and office accountsStrong bank reconciliation and legal accounts experienceExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organisational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and effectively manage multiple prioritiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsWhat's on Offer?
