Part-Time Maintenance Technician

Recruit4staff are representing an established manufacturing business in their search for a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to work in Ellesmere PortJob Details:Pay: £17.00–£22.00 per hourHours of Work: 15–20 hours per week, working weekdays between 8:00am and 4:00pmDuration: Temporary to permanent, with an expected initial duration of six monthsJob Role: As a Part-Time Maintenance Technician , you will carry out planned maintenance and occasional breakdown repairs on production line equipment. You will identify and replace faulty components, complete routine building-services checks and support small engineering projects. The Part-Time Maintenance Technician will also manage the engineering stores and arrange specialist engineering support when required.Key Duties:Carrying out planned maintenance on production line equipmentAttending occasional equipment breakdownsReplacing faulty valves, worn seals and other componentsCorrecting equipment synchronisation problemsRemoving and replacing defective partsCalling out specialist engineers when requiredManaging and maintaining the engineering storesCompleting small engineering projects as requiredCarrying out planned checks on building servicesEssential Skills, Experience or Qualifications:Mechanical qualifications or relevant practical experiencePrevious mechanical maintenance or engineering experienceThe ability to work independently and manage routine maintenance tasksA practical and methodical approach to fault-findingThe successful Part-Time Maintenance Technician must be comfortable working on production machinery and building servicesAdvantageous Skills, Experience or QualificationsPrevious experience of mechanical maintenance and repairs on conveyorsExperience working with transmission componentsExperience maintaining liquid-filling machineryExperience maintaining sachet-sealing machineryPrevious production or manufacturing maintenance experience would support success in the Part-Time Maintenance Technician roleAdditional InformationThis is a part-time position offering between 15 and 20 hours per weekSome flexibility can be arranged regarding the required working daysThe Part-Time Maintenance Technician may occasionally need to arrange external specialist engineering supportThe role is expected to become permanent following the initial temporary periodCommutable From: Wirral, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Deeside and BirkenheadSimilar Job Titles: Part-Time Mechanical Fitter, Part-Time EngineerFor further information about this Part-Time Maintenance Technician position and other vacancies, please apply now.
