Production Supervisor

Production SupervisorWe have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a highly established Manufacturing Facility based in Birtley.You will be responsible for a team of approximately 15-20 people.The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience working within the Manufacturing industry.This role will involve working a continental shift pattern - 6.00am - 6.00pm x 2 days shifts and then 6.00pm - 6.00am x 2 night shiftsRole and Responsibilities:Supervising a team of Production Operators ensuring that they are working efficiently, safely and in line with necessary targetHealth and safety of staff including risk assessments and accident investigationsQuality performance working towards zero defect target by proactive quality measures and root cause analysisManagement of staff and personal issues including disciplines, grievances, sickness absence, appraisals, and maintenance of holiday systems Production performance optimising output by efficiency improvement activities and staff performance managementKnowledge and Experience:Excellent communication skills written and verbalProven team leadership or management experience ideally within an automated settingMust be a natural leaderGood organisational skillsThe ability to manage busy workload and meet deadlinesAble to multitaskExperience of Continuous ImprovementMust have OEE experienceDue to the high volume of candidates responding to our adverts unfortunately we are not always able to provide individual feedback.
