Drivers Mate Southampton£13.05 per hour | Overtime £19.73 (over 48 hours)Weekend availability is mandatory please do not apply if you are unable to work at least one day of the weekend.Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting Drivers Mates to work alongside experienced 7.5t lorry drivers for a well-established client based in Southampton .The RoleAs a Drivers Mate, you will assist with the delivery of large items to residential properties, including:Flat-pack furnitureGym equipmentWhite goodsThis is a physically demanding role and requires a good level of fitness, as heavy lifting is involved.Working Hours & ShiftsThe client operates 7 days a weekYou will receive a weekly of 4 shifts, however you can be offered up to 5 or 6 if you want themWeekend work is required and expectedStart time: 06:00Shift length: approximately 911 hours per dayKey ResponsibilitiesAssisting the driver with safe delivery of goodsCalling customers ahead of arrival to provide delivery updatesDelivering excellent customer service at all timesActing as a Banksman when the lorry is reversing (full training provided)RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must:Be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy itemsBe reliable, organised, and punctualHave strong communication and customer service skillsBe able to reliably commute to SouthamptonOwn your own steel toe cap safety boots and high-visibility vestTraining & ComplianceAttendance at a mandatory induction day is required before startingDrug testing may be carried out at any time, including during inductionPay£13.05 per hour£19.73 per hour overtime, paid for hours worked over 48 hours per weekTPBN1_UKTJ
