Lead Software Developer - LIMS (Thermo Fisher SampleManager)OverviewWe are seeking 2 experienced Lead Software Developers with strong Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) expertise to increase development capacity and provide specialist technical support for a major LIMS upgrade programme. The roles will work closely with existing LIMS support, development and delivery teams to design, develop and support enhancements across the platform.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development and support of Thermo Fisher SampleManager solutions.Develop and maintain custom functionality using VGL, C#, .NET and SQL .Configure and enhance SampleManager workflows, forms, reports and integrations.Design and support integrations with laboratory instruments and enterprise systems.Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting and solution design expertise.Support testing, deployment, documentation and ongoing system improvements.Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.Essential Skills & ExperienceProven experience with Thermo Fisher SampleManager (v12.1 and/or v21.3).Strong development skills in: VGLC#.NET FrameworkSQLExperience configuring and customising SampleManager.Knowledge of REST/SOAP services, XML and systems integration.Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing and version control.Knowledge of laboratory processes and Laboratory Information Management Systems.Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills.SC Security Clearance (essential).DesirableExperience with SampleManager v21.3.Experience of LIMS upgrade or migration programmes.Knowledge of GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 17025 or GMP environments.Experience working in regulated laboratory settings.Public sector experience.TPBN1_UKTJ
