HGV Technician Location: Rothwell/Leeds Salary: £51,480 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (Alt sat 7am – 12pm) Contract: Permanent, full-time Package: 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays Profit share scheme Contributory pension scheme Death in Service benefit – 2x annual salary Free onsite parking Onsite kitchen facilities Fully equipped onsite gym available for all staff Permanent position with a well-established company Modern, fully equipped workshop facilities Supportive and experienced workshop team Workshop Facilities: Our workshop provides excellent facilities for our technicians, including: 5 workshop pits Large open workshop floor areas Vehicle ramps Mobile column lifts State-of-the-art brake test load simulator Dedicated brake roller lane Fully equipped workshop and diagnostic facilities The Role As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, general repairs and maintenance of our vehicles in a professional and safe manner. Carry out routine inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment Investigate faults and report findings accurately Complete repairs to current manufacturer standards Carry out general mechanical repairs and maintenance Manage diagnostics and order parts effectively Work efficiently and ensure repairs are completed right first time Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship Work as part of a professional and supportive team Skills & Experience The following experience would be advantageous: HGV mechanical experience City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent mechanical qualification Time-served HGV Technician experience IRTEC accreditation Experience using modern vehicle diagnostic systems Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) HGV licence You'll be joining an established team of 14 HGV Technicians, working in a professional environment where we take great pride in maintaining our fleet to the highest possible standards.
