HGV Technician Location: Bolton Salary: Up to £49,140 (DOE) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Shifts: Mon – Fri 7am – 4.30pm We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join the team, based just outside Bolton. The role would involve maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles, from small vans through to rigid HGVs, tractor units, trailers and specialist vehicles. The role offers a great work life balance, no contractual weekends and overtime paid at an enhanced rate at time and a half. Salary & Benefits Up to £40,140, depending on experience Performance bonus (Will be discussed at interview) Overtime available 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays Stable, permanent employment Ongoing training and career development Opportunity to gain IRTEC accreditation (planned from next year) Opportunity to undertake HGV Category C/CE licence training for eligible employees Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair commercial vehicles and trailers. Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults. Carry out inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance. Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard. Complete relevant paperwork and job records accurately. What We're Looking For Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician or similar. Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Experience working on commercial vehicles and/or trailers. A positive attitude, reliability and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
