Location: Hybrid Contract: Temporary Hours: 37 hours per week Pay Rate: 19.81

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Planning Policy Officer to support planning policy and housing strategy, with a particular focus on Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Section 106 (S106) agreements. You would need to have experience of monitoring and managing CIL and Section 106 processes. A planning qualification is desirable but not essential if you have strong practical experience in this area.

### Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage CIL and Section 106 agreements and associated processes.
\n
• Support the preparation and review of planning policy and housing strategy documents.
\n
• Develop and maintain planning monitoring systems.
\n
• Commission and oversee external evidence base studies.
\n
• Support neighbourhood planning and liaise with key stakeholders.
\n
• Prepare reports and present to committees and meetings.
\n
• Provide planning advice and support to colleagues.
\n

### About You

Proven experience managing CIL and Section 106 processes. Experience within planning policy or a local authority planning environment. Strong knowledge of planning legislation and infrastructure planning. Excellent communication, report writing and organisational skills. \n

Desirable:

Planning or built environment qualification. RTPI membership or equivalent. Experience of Local Plan preparation and planning policy development.\n
