Accounts & Tax Assistant Manager

Job Purpose:- This medium size accountancy firm based in a prime location in Central London specialises in working with high profile clients from the Film, TV, Sport, Creative, Media and Entertainment sectors- They are looking for a new Accounts & Tax Assistant Manager or Supervisor with 1 to 2 years PQE who is looking for their next challenge and to work with more interesting clients and have better progression opportunities in the short to medium term.- The aim is to provide first class accountancy and tax services to a wide range of clients, most are London and UK based.- Your role will be mixed evenly 50% statutory accounts and 50% tax assignments (with an emphasis on personal tax but also corporation tax and Vat returns).Firm Culture:- The firm is professional yet friendly, with regular team bonding days and socials so you can get to know other members of staff from other departments.- The firm offers hybrid working, flexible working hours and actively encourages all its staff to learn new things, take on high levels of responsibility and to progress to a higher level at a rapid pace.Responsibilities:- Your role will be varied and include managing your own portfolio of clients, and ensuring all clients are serviced to a high standard. Your portfolio will grow as will the complexity of clients as you grow into your new role.- Reviewing work prepared by other staff members.- The preparation of more complex FRS 102 and 105 statutory accounts from start to finish, drafting corporation tax returns, personal tax returns and reviewing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments.- Managing and training more junior staff members, as well as helping with ad hoc assignments to help the team where necessary.- Training and support will be provided where necessary.Requirements:- Fully ACA or ACCA qualified with between 1 and 2 years post qualification experience.- Currently working as an Accounts and Tax Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a good quality accountancy firm.- Experience of preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments is required.- Fully up to date with all accounting and tax rules and regulations.- Experience of cloud based software packages.- A desire to learn, progress and do well in a medium size accountancy firm based in Zone 1 Central London.- A strong interest in working with mainly Film, TV, Media, Creative, Sport and Entertainment based clients.TPBN1_UKTJ
