Graduate Buyer

Our client is currently recruiting a Graduate Buyer who will learn and be responsible for Sourcing & Procuring Engineering, Facility & Manufacturing Equipment Spare Parts and Services.Additionally, you will be responsible for negotiating best terms and conditions of purchase (Price, Leadtime, Payment Terms) and for identifying and executing Cost Reduction initiatives. The role is customer-facing and will require a significant amount of interaction with the customers maintenance and technical team members.ResponsibilitiesReacts to Purchase Requisitions for Ad-hoc (Spot Buy) and Inventory Controlled items in a timely manner.Travelling to customer sites when requiredSources and Procures Engineering, Facility & Manufacturing Equipment Spare Parts and Services.Places Purchase Orders in the company system.Expedites Delivery of Orders and updates Delivery Promise Dates within the system.Ensures On Time Delivery of Goods through effective supplier monitoring and management.Identifies and Executes Cost Reduction initiatives through negotiating price reductions or through identifying product substitution through formal agreement and approval with the customer.Reports and Tracks Cost Savings within the company systemResolves non-conforming delivery issues and arranges return of goods for credit or replacement.Resolves Invoice QueriesEnsure company reports are maintained within a timely manner (Weekly basis)QualificationsDegree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing or business-related DegreeArticulate, Numerate and System literate.Computer literateGood communicatorExcellent time management skillsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing business.
