Highways OperativeLocation: Ellesmere PortJob Type: Permanent, full-timeSalary: OTE £30,000 to £40,000 per yearThe RoleZETEC Recruitment are working with an established highways contractor to recruit Highways Operatives to support ongoing work across the region.This is a hands-on role working on highways, roads and site-based projects. The position would suit someone with previous experience in highways maintenance, surfacing, traffic management, construction or a similar outdoor working environment.The role offers good earning potential through overtime, travel time and additional payments, along with opportunities for training and progression.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out highways-related work across a range of sitesSupport surfacing, surface treatment and general highways activity where requiredAssist with the installation of road safety products, road marking, pothole repair and general highways maintenancePrepare work areas and help ensure jobs are completed safely and efficientlyFollow site instructions, method statements and health and safety proceduresAssist with traffic management, site set-up and road closures when requiredOperate tools, machinery and equipment safelyWork as part of a team to complete projects to a good standardTravel to different sites as requiredAbout YouPrevious experience in highways, surfacing, traffic management, road marking installation, pothole repair, construction or a similar environment would be beneficialExperience using highways machinery or site equipment would be an advantageFull UK manual driving licence is requiredValid CSCS cardFlexible approach to working hours, including overtime and weekends when requiredComfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding roleReliable, safety-conscious and able to work well as part of a teamWilling to travel to different sites depending on project requirementsBenefitsPermanent positionOTE £30,000 to £40,000 per yearOvertime and additional earning potentialPaid travel time where applicableTraining and development opportunitiesProgression opportunitiesCompany pensionUniform providedOn-site parkingApplyThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Highways Operative looking for a permanent role with long-term earning potential and career development.TPBN1_UKTJ
