Senior Platform EngineerManchester Hybrid£70,000 + Bonus + Benefits packageWe are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join a global technology and engineering consultancy. This position is responsible for delivering and supporting cloud platform engineering solutions across large-scale client environments.Working within established engineering practices and frameworks, you will help build, operate, and improve cloud-native platforms, ensuring reliability, security, and performance. You will collaborate with engineering teams and clients to deliver high-quality digital products and support continuous improvement across platform services.Key Responsibilities as Senior Platform EngineerDeliver and support cloud platform engineering solutions across client environments.Design services with a reliability mindset, using SLIs, SLOs, and observability practices.Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across environments.Support incident management, problem management, and continuous improvement of production platforms.Contribute to observability solutions including logging, metrics, dashboards, and alerting.Support DevSecOps practices across cloud-native platforms at scale.Participate in post-incident reviews and drive service improvements.Adopt AI-assisted engineering practices to improve delivery quality and speed.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and engineering communities.Experience youll need as a Senior Platform Engineer5 years strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and core cloud services.Hands-on experience in DevSecOps engineering within cloud-native environments.Proven experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code across non-production and production environments.Understanding of SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, resilience, and reliability.Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or similar.Experience supporting production platforms including incident and problem management.Exposure to AIOps practices and automation for proactive issue detection and resolution.Ability to work in client-facing environments and travel as required.Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.To hear more about the Senior Platform Engineer role , get in touch with Sophie Higginson at Anson McCade.AMC/SHI/SPETPBN1_UKTJ
