Assistant Financial AccountantLocation: LiverpoolSalary: £30,000 - £32,000 DOEJob Type: Full Time, PermanentOverview of the RoleAccountable are recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a growing finance team within a well-established business. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for producing timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end processes, maintaining forecasts, and providing valuable financial insight to support business performance.This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to develop their skills within a fast-paced commercial environment while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and reporting responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce weekly financial reports and management information to support business performance.Maintain and update rolling forecasts in partnership with operational teams.Assist with the preparation of month-end accounts, including profit & loss reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare VAT returns and support intercompany reporting processes.Provide financial analysis and reporting support to finance and commercial stakeholders.Assist with payroll-related activities and reporting requirements.Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis as required.Support ongoing improvements to financial reporting, controls, and processes.Key RequirementsPrevious experience within a finance, accounting, or management accounts environment.Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines.Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.Proactive, organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA desirable.BenefitsSalary of £30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Company pension scheme.Excellent opportunity for professional development and career progression.TPBN1_UKTJ
