Class 1 HGV Driver (C+E) Nights Location: Epping, EssexWe are currently recruiting experienced and professional Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV Drivers to join a well-established and growing logistics operation based in Epping. This is a temp to perm night shift position offering consistent work, modern vehicles, and excellent earning potential.This role involves nightly trunking to a distribution hub in Birmingham with no multi-drop deliveries, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy straightforward, scheduled work.Salary & Hours £44,000 per annum , based on a 50-hour working weekGuaranteed minimum 10 hours' pay per shiftNight shifts with start times between 7:00pm and 9:00pmFull-time, permanent positionOvertime opportunities may be availableWhat We Offer Competitive annual salaryGuaranteed minimum paid hours every shiftConsistent, scheduled night work with regular routesWell-maintained, modern fleet of vehiclesFull company induction and ongoing supportCompany pension schemeFree on-site parkingFriendly, supportive management teamLong-term career stability with a reputable logistics businessKey Responsibilities Complete scheduled trunk runs between Epping and the Birmingham distribution hub.Carry out daily walk-round vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.Accurately complete all delivery paperwork and electronic records where required.Comply with all Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive, and tachograph legislation.Secure loads correctly and ensure vehicles are operated safely at all times.Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.Keep vehicles clean and report any maintenance issues promptly.Follow company health and safety procedures and road transport legislation.Candidate Requirements Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving LicenceValid Driver CPC Qualification CardValid Digital Tachograph CardGood understanding of Driver Hours Regulations and tachograph rulesExcellent knowledge of UK road safety legislationReliable, punctual, and committed to delivering a high standard of workAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyDesirable Previous Class 1 trunking or RDC experienceExperience with curtain-side trailersGood geographical knowledge of UK road networksWe're Looking For The ideal candidate will be a dependable and safety-conscious professional who takes pride in their work.
