Drivers required: HGV Class 1LOCATION: WiganApply Now Join our team and start earning top rates in WiganIf you are an HGV Class 1 Driver APPLY NOWSHIFTS: DaysRATES DAYSMonday to Friday £17.15 per hour (Holiday pay accrued) / £19.22 per hour (Holiday pay included)Saturday £18:35 per hour (Holiday pay accrued) / £20.56 per hour (Holiday pay included)Saturday £19.50 per hour (Holiday pay accrued) / £21.85 per hour (Holiday pay included)Bank Holiday £28.75 Per hour (Holiday pay accrued) / £32.22 per hour (Holiday pay included)DUTIES:Class 1 store deliveries 2 3 drops per day (cage and pallets)Start times between 02:00 and 05:00Safely operate and drive HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles in accordance with road traffic laws and company procedures.Complete daily vehicle walkaround checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.Deliver and collect goods to and from customer sites in a timely and professional manner.Ensure all loads are secured correctly and transported safely.Complete delivery paperwork, PODs (Proof of Delivery), and electronic records accurately.Adhere to driver hours regulations, Working Time Directive requirements, and tachograph legislation.Plan routes efficiently to maximise productivity and meet delivery schedules.Maintain regular communication with transport planners and traffic offices regarding delivery progress and delays.Conduct trailer swaps, vehicle coupling and uncoupling procedures safely.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at customer premises and company sites.Load and unload vehicles where required, using appropriate equipment and safe handling techniques.Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of vehicles and trailers.Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and members of the public.Report accidents, incidents, delays, and vehicle defects promptly.Follow company policies relating to security, transport compliance, and operational procedures.Assist with depot operations and other transport-related duties when required.Requirements:Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licenceMinimum 1 year held on licenceValid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph CardAssessment and induction requiredGood knowledge of local road networksPhysically fit due to manual handling requirementsStrong communication and customer service skillsReliable, punctual, and professional attitudeIf you are a Professional HGV Class 1 Driver in the area , click APPLY NOWBenefitsMonday to FridayWeekend shiftsDays ShiftsTemp to PermPension schemeCandidate portalManned 24/7 availabilityAbout HG RecruitmentDecades of experience in the supply chain, HG has a strong well-established reputation.
