Materials and Production Planning ManagerTelfordPermanentCompetitive Salary + BenefitsMonday Friday 37.5 hours per weekAre you an experienced Materials Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Production Planning Manager or Master Scheduler looking for your next challenge within the automotive manufacturing sector?We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier seeking an experienced Materials & Production Planning Manager to join their leadership team. This is a critical role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will be responsible for overseeing production planning, materials management, inventory control and supply chain activities to ensure customer requirements are delivered on time and in full.The Materials & Production Planning Manager will be responsible for:Leading and developing the Production Planning, Scheduling and Materials teamsManaging all aspects of materials planning, inventory management and production schedulingDelivering effective Master Production Scheduling and supporting monthly Sales & Operations PlanningEnsuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on timeCollaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee material availability and uninterrupted productionManaging supplier performance and resolving material shortagesDriving inventory accuracy and stock optimisation initiativesCreating daily sequencing plans and managing shop ordersMonitoring planning parameters and maintaining accurate ERP system dataIdentifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities across planning and supply chain operationsSupporting a strong culture of safety, quality and operational excellenceEnsuring compliance with IATF16949 and relevant ISO standardsLeading change management initiatives and supporting business transformation projectsWe are looking for someone who has experience in:Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Production Planning or Scheduling within a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environmentManaging production schedules in a high-volume manufacturing operationMaster Production Scheduling and S&OP processesInventory control, supplier management and demand planningAutomotive quality systems including IATF16949Lean Manufacturing or similar continuous improvement methodologiesLeading, coaching and developing teamsWorking with ERP systems; SAP experience would be highly advantageous but is not essentialThe application process:Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce.
