Transport Planner

Transport Planner required to join friendly transport company based in Bedford. The Transport Planner will take a leading role in the day-to-day management of the transport operation.Responsible for planning and coordinating fleet operations, supporting drivers and planners, managing operational challenges and working closely with customers, workshop staff, compliance and company management.Making decisions, taking ownership of tasks and working in a fast-paced transport environment.Manage daily transport planning activitiesAllocate vehicles and drivers efficiently while ensuring legal complianceMonitor live operations and resolve operational issuesSupport and guide planning activities across the businessLiaise with customers regarding collections, deliveries and service requirementsWork closely with Compliance and Workshop teamsEnsure compliance with Drivers Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirementsPrevious experience as a Senior Transport Planner or Transport PlannerStrong knowledge of UK Drivers Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirementsExcellent communication and organisational skillsKnowledge of tachograph compliance and transport legislationTPBN1_UKTJ
