Warehouse ManagerWashington, NE38 8QPSalary - £33,505 per annum40 hours week - Monday to FridayHours of work between 9.00am to 6.00pm30 days holiday per annum plus statutory holidaysWe are looking for a Warehouse Manager for our Branch in Washington, this would ideally suit an experienced Warehouse Supervisor looking for the next step.As the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for the management of all warehouse and delivery activity at our branch and to ensure an efficient integration of the depot with the wider Premier Paper Group logistics network whilst ensuring:Minimisation of costs for Sales teamsMaximisation of service to our customersHealth & Safety and Welfare of the teamThis is a hands-on physical role and therefore there is a requirement to hold MHE licences for a counterbalance (CB/FLT).Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Warehouse ManagementEnsuring that goods inwards targets are met, that all goods are received and put away in good condition.Ensuring that all staff are trained on the relevant equipment and are authorised to drive in the warehouse.Ensuring that the racking is in good order, and also regularly checking the condition and that the checks are recorded.The maintenance of physical stock and computer legitimacy by the use of computer stock moves, stock adjustments and miscellaneous receipts.Overseeing the maintenance of all the equipment, that it is serviced in line with the service schedule and ensuring that all safety checks are done and recorded daily.Summarising daily pick issues and discrepancies, reporting them to the relevant departments ensuring a response/resolution is provided.DistributionEnsuring that all drops to be routed in drop sequence, taking timed drops into account.Making the route feasible and working to the vehicles maximum capacity.Allocating routes to drivers.Ensuring that the orders are palletised sensibly, without damage and picked according to the route.Ensuring that all staff have full knowledge of the axle weights and loading restrictions on each vehicle.Skills and experience required for the role include:MHE licences (Forklift CB)Demonstrable experience within a Warehouse Supervisor roleWorking understanding of running/maintaining a fleet of delivery vehiclesExcellent communication skills at all levelsProven organisation and administrative skillsAbility to problem solvePC literate including analysis of dataAbility to build effective working relationshipsWhat do we offer?Generous holiday entitlement of 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays, additional days incremental for length of service up to 30 days after 10 years service.Workplace pension schemeEmployee retail benefits schemeMonday to Friday working (apart from a stocktake day once per year)If this sounds like it could be for you, and you are ready for your next challenge, apply directly online.Premier Paper Group Ltd are an equal opportunities employer.TPBN1_UKTJ
